Joshua 9:7-9

⁷ The men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live among us. How can we make a treaty with you?”

⁸ They said to Joshua, “We are your servants.”

So Joshua said to them, “Who are you, and where do you come from?”

⁹ They said to him, “Because of the Name of the Lord your God, your servants have come from a land very far away. For we heard the report about him and all that he did in Egypt
